Northbuild supports renowned Brisbane photographer

Leading Queensland building contractor Northbuild Construction Pty Ltd is proud to announce its major sponsorship of the ‘Antonio Gaudi and Robert Shakespeare Collide’ photography art exhibition.

Northbuild has donated a substantial sum of money to the exhibition of photography by Robert Shakespeare. The exhibition features an array of buildings by the most internationally prestigious figure in the history of Spanish architecture, Antonio Gaudi.

With the collaboration of structural engineers, sculptors and tradesmen, Northbuild seized the opportunity to support their professional photographer by sponsoring the exhibition and hosting an evening event for colleagues and fellow building industry enthusiasts on Thursday, 11 March 2010 at the Circle Gallery in Brisbane’s West End. Shakespeare plans to donate 15% of all proceeds to the Hear and Say Centre in Brisbane.

Intrigued by the crossovers between architecture and building design, Northbuild’s commercial manager, Andrew Corrigan commented, “We're proud to support local businesses like Robert’s and the launch of his Gaudi exhibition for charity.

“Northbuild is committed to its local community and has challenged its suppliers and business associates to join in the efforts.”

Robert’s exhibition being launched on Friday, 5 March 2010 will continue until Wednesday, 17 March 2010.

The Hear and Say Centre is one of the leading Paediatric Auditory-Verbal and cochlear implant centres in the world, teaching children who are deaf or hearing impaired to listen and speak.

The Centre is a charity based in Brisbane with regional centres on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Cairns, Townsville and Toowoomba with an Outreach program for rural and remote children. It is a family based program recognising the parent as the natural language teacher of the child.
